Description:
Background
The Business Analyst, as part of the Business Application Transformation Initiative team will work collaboratively and in consultation with staff and key stakeholder groups, among others. A working group has been stood up and the Business Analyst will be an expert resource for the working group, for the core team and the Senior Leadership Team.
Technical Criteria
Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst drafting business requirements for IT solutions
Must have experience drafting business process models and workflows on a minimum of 2 non-overlapping projects in the past 6 years
Must have experience in reviewing requirements, preparing test cases, executing test cases and analyzing results on a minimum of 2 non-overlapping projects in the past 6 years
Must have experience in participating in design reviews and providing input on product design, and potential problems.
Must have valid Government of Canada Reliability clearance.
Should have proven ability to master the full business requirements life cycle within an IM/IT project – from elicitation, analysis, prioritization, maintenance, change assessment, testing and monitoring, and testing including full traceability.
Should have experience drafting business requirements for a Client Relationship Management platform, and more particularly a Microsoft Dynamics implementation.
Should have experience in assessing Change Request Forms for impacts on current solutions and on future planned deployments.
Should experience in working within the Azure Dev Ops platform.
Tasks to be performed
- Draft business requirements
- Develop business process and workflow diagrams
- Facilitate business process modelling and requirements elicitation workshops
- Develop and execute test cases and prepare reports to ensure that business processes and requirements have been delivered
- Support the development of user stories, develop user cases and definition of business rules
- Ensure full traceability of requirements across their entire lifecycle
- Participate in change impact analysis and change control activities
- Follow BAT’s established approach to define, optimize and standardize business services and processes as well as the system, technology and information entities, and recommends improvements as required
