Business Process Consultant

Background

A Senior Business Process Consultant will review various documents, financial policies, accounting standards and other relevant documents (ex., legislation) and provide assistance in the drafting of these documents to ensure the continued assessment and recognition of the client’s for the Department’s TCAs.

 

Technical Criteria

Must have the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) designation.

Must have a minimum 8 years of experience in the last 10 years providing advice regarding financial procedures, guidance documents in the form of policy interpretation and financials statement presentation for new accounting standards.

Must have provided advice related to accounting financial procedures, guidance documents and financial statement presentation in a Federal or Provincial Government Department which have been undertaken in the last 5 years

Must have a valid Government of Canada Reliability Clearance.

Should have experience in the last 5 years in Capital Asset Accounting in an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle within an organization having capital assets with a minimum net book value of $100M. 

Should have experience in preparing procedures and other documents: Having experience in developing procedures and guidance documents for capital asset accounting.

Should have experience in new accounting standards implementation: Having experience in the last 10 years, in advising and developing financial statement presentation and note disclosures required for the implementation of a new accounting standards.
