Background

An Intermediate Project Manager would manage a long term combat ration procurement program for our client. There will be various short-term contracts for the procurement of combat rations in addition to a separate assembly contract. In an effort to streamline the process and gain efficiencies while maintaining product quality, the current concept and long-term procurement strategy is under review.

 

Technical Criteria

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree.

Must clearly demonstrate having a minimum of sixty (60) months of combined experience, within the last one- hundred and twenty (120) months, in a Project Manager or Project Director or equivalent role in a minimum of three (3) of the following project phases:

Must clearly demonstrate that within the last one-hundred and twenty (120) months have been involved preparing and/or reviewing a minimum of three (3) of the following documents related to project management

Must clearly demonstrate having a minimum of twenty-four (24) months in the last thirty-six (36) months of combined experience using the following Microsoft software:

Must have valid Government of Canada’s Secret clearance.

 

Should have in excess of sixty (60) months of demonstrated experience in a Project Manager, Project Director or equivalent role in any of the following project phases:

Should be able to demonstrate additional relevant education in project management or food services.

Should be able to demonstrate experience with respect to months preparing and reviewing documents related to project management within the Federal Government.

Should be fluent in the French language. 

Should be able to demonstrate experience in one (1) of the below fields within the last five(5) years:

 

Tasks to be performed

An Intermediate Project Manager will perform tasks in support of the long-term ration procurement program. These tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Support departments by managing the long-term initiative process for our client;
  2. Coordinate and liaise with various departments as required;
  3. Build and draft the business case for submissions;
  4. Facilitate the selection of the preferred procurement model;
  5. Analyze industry feedback and conduct necessary research to evaluate the various options to build the business case;
  6. Participate in the preparation and administrative oversight of various project documents in accordance with the client’s procurement policy, including but not limited to contracting/procurement documents;
  7. Conduct final review of contracting/procurement documents;
  8. Run and participate in meetings and/or working groups;
  9. Liaise with industry as required;
  10. Give briefings on the progress and concerns of the combat ration procurement program;
  11. Plan, review and monitor procurement program timeline and schedule;
  12. Direct and control the activities of the project team within scheduled timeline; and
  13. Other various tasks related to the management of the program.
